Our History
Falcon Communications Solutions has been serving customers in the Mid-Atlantic area for over 15 years. During this time, we have made an unprecedented number of innovations and changes, all with one goal in mind-to improve ourselves so we can improve our service to our customers.
Over the years, Falcon has evolved from its small town roots to one of the region’s top communication’s firms. We have changed offices, added clients and won awards, but one thing has remained the same. We have held onto our initial goal to improve our service and ourselves.
Industry awards and recognition have shown we are doing a good job in reaching that goal. With recognition from the Washington Business Journal from 2001-2006 and several awards and accolades, Falcon continues to impress the industry and satisfy our clients.
Our Growth
Falcon’s inaugural day was held in a small construction trailer that served as the corporate headquarters, regional offices, customer service center, and warehouse for the first year.
In February 1996, Falcon moved to Old Town Manassas. During these early years, we worked hard to establish ourselves in the industry, and our hard work paid off. Our partnership with Vertical Networks, previously known as COMDIAL, offers a perfect example; the partnership was established in June 1998 and in just two short years we became a Platinum Preferred Dealer and were selected to their Presidents Club.
By late 2000, Falcon had already outgrown its headquarters, and moved to our current location at 9500 Technology Drive, which is now neighbored by a 6000 square foot R&D/warehouse. In 2001, Falcon expanded even further with the opening of our wireless retail & service center.
These state-of-the-art facilities are certainly a step-up from the initial construction trailer, which is a good thing, given Falcon’s astounding tendency to expand. In 2001, Falcon acquired Compu-Phone, Inc. of Maryland, assuming care for the company’s substantial customer base across the Mid-Atlantic region. Then, in 2004, Falcon completed the acquisition of CommWorld of the National Capital Area, Inc.
Recently, Falcon made some big moves. We partnered with Networkfleet, a leader in wireless fleet management. This has proven to be a sound choice, as, as we were named the top reseller for the Eastern Region in June of 2009. Also recently, we partnered with PanTerra Networks; a leading cloud based unified communications company. Other strategic move, as we were named as a top producer in 2009.
